Japanese fashion retailer ANAP Holdings announced today that it has acquired 50.56 Bitcoin (BTC) over a two-day period from June 11 to June 12, 2025, for approximately ¥800 million (around $5.4 million USD at current exchange rates). This strategic investment increases the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 153.46 BTC, with a cumulative cost basis of ¥2.27 billion (approximately $15.3 million USD).

The acquisition reflects ANAP Holdings’ growing confidence in Bitcoin as a store of value and a hedge against economic uncertainties. The company, known for its trendy apparel and accessories targeting young consumers, has been diversifying its financial strategy by allocating a portion of its treasury to digital assets. This latest purchase follows a series of investments in Bitcoin, positioning ANAP as one of Japan’s forward-thinking corporations embracing cryptocurrency.

“We see Bitcoin as a transformative asset that aligns with our innovative brand ethos,” “This acquisition strengthens our financial resilience and underscores our commitment to exploring new avenues for growth in a rapidly evolving global economy.”

The purchase was executed at an average price of approximately ¥15.82 million per BTC (around $106,000 USD), reflecting Bitcoin’s market performance during the acquisition period. With this move, ANAP Holdings joins a growing list of publicly traded companies worldwide that are integrating Bitcoin into their corporate treasuries.

Market analysts view ANAP’s investment as a signal of increasing institutional adoption of cryptocurrency in Japan, a country known for its progressive stance on digital assets. The fashion retailer’s move may also inspire other Japanese firms to explore Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset.

ANAP Holdings has not disclosed plans for further Bitcoin acquisitions but stated it will continue to monitor market conditions and evaluate opportunities to expand its cryptocurrency portfolio. The company’s stock (listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under ticker 3189) is expected to draw attention from investors tracking its bold financial strategy.
